Baby James does Disney!!!!!!

So anyone that knows me...knows I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Disney...and so does my family!!! My mother took my sister for the 1st time when she was only months old...and did the same thing with me & my twin brother Justin. And we have been doing the same thing for our kids! Because we are annual pass holders we do Disney a lot and I've started participating in the RunDisney races!!! While pregnant with Baby James I ran the Princess 10K.

So of course I would be taking Baby James as soon as he could travel!!! Lol well our schedule worked out where his 1st trip would be during the 20th anniversary of the Epcot Food & Wine! Lol not much fun for Baby James....but loads of fun for Mommy & Daddy!!! Lol so plans were made and we decided to  meet my twin brother & his wife, and two other friends!

We had a wonderful day!!! It was a little hotter than expected but Baby James did awesome!!! I was expecting him to be cranky and fussy but he did really well!!! He was also spoiled a little...my friend Bridgett held him most of the time!! Lol

Unfortunately Baby James didn't get to see Mickey or get to take any character pictures...but his is going back in a few weeks. And he will have many many more memories to make at Disney!!! Overall it was a great 1st Disney trip and can't wait for my little one to experience many more!!!

Unexplainable......motherhood!!!!

My grandma always use to tell me, "You are not a woman until you have had a child", and I would just laugh. And throughout my pregnancy, everyone said once my little one was here, my life would be changed for ever.......and they were right!!! There are no words to explain the joy I have felt the last two months since given birth to my little one!!! He has become and is MY LIFE!!! And it doesn't matter that he wakes me up constantly throughout the night, and I'm functioning on 2-3 hrs of sleep. It is all worth it!!!! There is nothing more gratifying than to wake up and see his sleeping little face at 1:00am!!! Lol He is my love, my heart, my world!!!!

Sleeping Chronicles: Part 1

In an attempt to avoid "co-sleeping" with Baby James, I took to the web search of a solution! I didn't want him getting used to sleeping in the bed with me. In my search, I wanted something that would be compact, mobile, and be used while traveling as well. In my search I came across the First Years Close and Secure Sleeper on Amazon. The first thing that caught my eye was the price, compared to others this one was under $40 bucks and I would have it in 2 days with Amazon prime. After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase. 

Once it was delivered I was impressed by the lightness of it as well as, no assembly was required! All I had to do was unfold it and it was ready to go!!! It seemed to be very durable, but I noticed towards the bottom the mesh area is not as stable as the top...but I still loved it! The first night with Baby James went great!!! And he seemed to sleep in it well....the second night was a little different. In the middle of the night I woke to discover James hanging halfway out of the sleeper!!! And I couldn't figure out why! Sooooo on the 3rd night I decided to stay up in hopes of seeing how he came out of the sleeper. Low and behold my 5 WEEK OLD had scooted himself out!!! Lol 

The mesh lining is the only complaint I have...just hoping Baby James doesn't grow too fast and will be able to use it for a few months! But overall, I think it's going to work great for traveling as well as for use as needed at home. In the meantime, I'll just have to put Baby James back in the sleeper when he decides to wiggle out!!!

On August 23, 2015, I started my day like many other days. I woke up, put on my running clothes and went for a 2 mile walk. I was 40 weeks to the day, and was to go into the hospital later that day to be induced. My life changed forever on August 24, 2015 at 5:33 pm. After 23 1/2 hours of labor, James Dean Henderson entered the world weighing 7 lbs 2oz!!!! I looked at him and knew my life would never be the same!!!! Over the next couple of hours I would keep questioning myself , asking myself if he was real! Needless to say, he was and everyday since has been filled with nothing but Joy!!!!!
